My Adulthood Tomorrow

Well, I plan to take my weekend hiatus as usual, but over this weekend I legally become an adult. That makes me old enough to smoke and get a tattoo, and even get into certain strip clubs. The thing is, I can't do any of those right now because I don't have ID, although I plan to get one next week if all goes according to plan. I try to live as normal a life as possible despite being autistic, but my autism impedes my ability to have sex, among other things, which is why I want a cure, which John Best says is chelation. So, while I will legally be an adult, I will still be a child mentally, and that pains me. That is why I want a cure. Praised Be Jesus, Amen!

Oliver,

"That makes me old enough to smoke and get a tattoo, and even get into certain strip clubs."

I have heard (not sure if this is accurate) that tattoos cause Skin Cancer.

Please define a "normal life." What can "normal" people do that autistic people can't learn to do?

"... my autism impedes my ability to have sex..."

There is NO scientific evidence for the aforementioned. If I am wrong, please provide studies of ANY kind how autism affects "sex."

Nothing about "sex" is mentioned in the DSM-IV.

As you know, I also would like scientific research to continue into treatments and cures, so autistics (myself INCLUDED) can be cured of their autistic disability DEFICITS.

I want a cure for my sensory IMPAIRMENTS, speech problems, severe anxiety disorders, auditory processing delay and the list of DEFICTS (things that IMPAIR my ABILITIES) goes on.

John Best is a father of a son with severe Autistic Disorder. He is NOT a MEDICAL professional or scientist. He does not have a MEDICAL DEGREE; therefore, he cannot and should not give out medical advice. He cannot legally market a treatment or cure for autism or related disorders. Andrew Wakefield is a MEDICAL professional who finished MEDICAL school. He is a DOCTOR. He is legally allowed to give medical advice based on his educational background. (I agree with SOME of what Dr. Andrew Wakefield says.)

Another example is Roy Rickard Grinker, a parent of a daughter with autism (PDD-NOS). Grinker graduated from Harvard MEDICAL School. He is QUALIFIED to give medical advice.

I don't understand how you are "a child mentally."

Katie K.

P.S. I wasn't clear last time about something. When I asked if I could be a "contributor" to this blog, I was asking you to make me a "team member." (For example, the "Hating Autism Response Blog," has a few "team members" (Phil, Andrew, and someone else).

Oliver,

You need my e-mail to make me a "team member."

Advocatek.kagan87@yahoo.com

Feel free to ask me for directions if you don't know how to invite others to post on your blog (I'm talking about the "Autism is Bad" blog.)

Regards,

Katie K.

Oliver,

Unfortunately, I had to reject your comment because it contained profanity. You are welcome to comment on my team or personal blog, but I don't allow ANY profanity, vulgarity, or name-calling. (Yes, I have strict rules.) If you need to tell someone off, please do it respectfully.

Regards,

Katie K.

Oliver,

I made assumptions because your blog post sounds very pessimistic. What good things are happening in your life? I don't know your point, but it seems like you want me or someone to feel bad for you (correct me if I'm wrong).

Regards,

Katie K.
